Five campaigns of the week picked by the editor, well, me.

THE SHOW MUST GO ON by Amazon & Lucky Generals


Amazon’s captures the frustration and disappointments of 2020 while managing to lift spirits with a tale about a ballerina with big dreams. (AdAge)

The gorgeous Chirstmas’s ad by Amazon tells the story of a young dancer awarded a main role in her ballet school’s holiday show, but her hopes are dashed when the school closes; and while she continues to practice virtually and on her own, the Christmas performance ultimately gets canceled as well. – AdAge

This being 2020, things don’t go to plan, but with the support of friends and family, and her own tenacity and optimism, she delivers a spectacular performance for her awestruck neighbour.

It made me cry for a bit!

SWITCH OFF by eve sleep & Creature

The sleep wellness brand encourages the nation to switch off TV before bedtime with its latest nostalgic “Switch Off” campaign.

The campaign will be giving TV viewers the ultimate throwback, as they remind the nation of a time when TV broadcasting came to an end, prompting bedtime each night.

THE LIL’ GOAT by TKMaxx & Wieden + Kennedy London

It’s festive season and TKMaxx has launched its 2020 Christmas campaign. The ad follows ‘Lil’ Goat’ strutting across the snowy landscape to the beat, decked from head-to-toe in an enviably stylish designer outfit.

Let’s face it. We’ve had a tough year. This latest ad by TKMaxx and W+K aims to make everyone feel special, and that includes everyone in our lives, even pet goats. And it’s fun!

FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS by Disney

Disney launches its tear-jerker Christmas advert with an emotional charity track as a granddaughter mends her grandmother’s broken Mickey Mouse.

The heartwarming campaign follows the story of a family who connect through the tradition of sharing a much-loved toy, Mickey Mouse; inspired by the themes of traditions, family togetherness and nostalgia.

The campaign launches this campaign in support of Make A Wish, celebrating 40-year partnership together.

NOBODY IS NORMAL by Childline, part of the NSPCC & The Gate

The Nobody Is Normal campaign encourages any children feeling unable to discuss their anxiety and distress to reach out to ChildLine for support. The campaign hopes to reassure children that lacking confidence, not feeling good enough, or not fitting in are common experiences.

The NSPCC said its counsellors had heard from children who were feeling isolated, anxious and insecure after being cut off from their usual social support networks.
