THE GOOD FIRE by Shelter and Above&Beyond

‘The Good Fire’ is a virtual log fire on YouTube that will raise vital funds for the housing and homelessness charity, Shelter.

Virtual fireplace videos are an online phenomenon, and their popularity has soared during the pandemic as home became a sanctuary from the unpredictable outside world. But that security isn’t enjoyed by the thousands of people facing homelessness this winter.

This festive period, to raise funds to support Shelter, consumers can watch ‘The Good Fire’ from the comfort of their own homes. By simply watching the fire on YouTube—for as little as a minute or all day long—advertising revenue will be generated and donated directly to Shelter.

Working in close partnership with Google, Above+Beyond has found an innovative and frictionless way for people to raise money for Shelter’s important work. By simply playing The Good Fire YouTube video on their TV, AdSense revenue is generated, which will be donated to Shelter, directly helping those facing homelessness. ALDI CHRISTMAS ADVERT LAUNCH by Aldi and McCann UK

Created by McCann UK, the ad, which premieres on Thursday 11th November, is a charming Dickensian-style take on A Christmas Carol, and follows the story of Christmas loathing Ebanana Scrooge, who is reminded of the joys of the festive season by Kevin the Carrot who returns to screens once again this year, despite rumours to the contrary. There was public outcry when a teaser video featuring only Ebanana Scrooge appeared on social media over the weekend, leaving fans fearing for the fate of the nation’s favourite carrot.

England footballer Marcus Rashford MBE has joined forces with supermarket giant Aldi for its Christmas TV ad – as part of a seasonal campaign which will see 1.8 million meals donated to families that need help across the UK over the festive period. Aldi currently works with Neighbourly, who link businesses to charitable organisations in local communities, to donate its surplus food to local causes.
